It can be difficult to share the road with 18 wheelers.
There’s an instinct to pass the trucks, but often it’s impossible to
see if a car is coming the opposite way. Well, not any more, thanks to a
new innovation from Samsung.
Almost one person dies every hour as a result of traffic accidents in Argentina, according to Samsung. The electronics company created their “Safety Truck” to try to stop some of those too-frequent tragedies.
A camera on the front of an 18 wheeler
broadcasts a live feed of the road in front to screens mounted on the
back. That way, cars stuck behind the semi-truck can see if any other
vehicles are coming to know when it’s safe to overtake the truck.
